Following successful collaborations for AB il lusso della semplicità in both Milan and Venice, Buzzi & Buzzi has been tapped to light up another dining venture, ABKS Break Time, a Bistrot situated within Milan's new Padel Palace—a trendy padel hotspot.
The ground floor overlooks the padel courts, blending sport and cuisine seamlessly. Here, the recessed Polaris lights enhance the industrial exposed ceiling with suspended panels that form bright domes, creating a visually continuous and softly lit environment. Above the counter, Genius Curve echoes the rounded shapes of Polaris, providing discreet yet high-performing lighting. The connection between sports and culinary worlds is evident throughout both floors, with various sport-themed elements incorporated into the design.
Buzzi & Buzzi has managed to create a casual and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a cohesive style that links the different areas with a touch of overseas flair. ABKS Break Time aims to be a central meeting point not just for athletes but for the entire neighborhood, offering around sixty seats spread over two levels, including cozy sharing spots and a large social table at the entrance. The decor mixes industrial elements with natural colors, wood furnishings and greenery adorning some walls.
The spaces on he upper level has relaxed atmosphere illuminated by Genius spotlights that mimic a starry sky. The area features low-key colors and minimalistic furniture that complement the adjustable Rhino spotlights, which, with their retractable cylinders, add a dynamic touch to the various gathering spaces.
For transitional and service areas, Basic Round and Idroround recessed spotlights were chosen for their ability to blend discreetly into the architecture, maintaining an elegant and functional presence.
